How I came up with the idea for God and Legions

One day I saw a fake game ad on Twitter, very similar to the ad below:

The ad is much, much better than the actual game.

The ad is a simplified version of an RTS game, resource management is replaced by the multiplier on bridges.
But the gameplay is not enough to support a full game.
But what if we go further and replace resource management with something simple, but add other ideas like platforming, puzzles, and RPG evolution?
Thus was born the game God and the Legions.
